Author Visits

Christian Schools

Jasper author visits are designed to be interactive, encouraging, and age-appropriate for elementary students. During our time together, I read Jasper’s story using an animated copy of the book (if AV equipment or smartboard is available), talk about how a book is created from idea to shelf, and invite students into the creative process. Jasper’s stories naturally open the door to conversations about loving our neighbors, celebrating how uniquely we are made by God, and using our gifts to serve others. I aim to create a visit that feels joyful, meaningful, and encouraging for both students and teachers. We laugh, we imagine, and we talk about what it means to treat others with kindness and use our creativity for good.

My goal is always the same: to leave students feeling excited about books, inspired to create, and encouraged to care for one another.

Perfect for grades Pre-K through 5th, this visit blends storytelling, imagination, and meaningful character conversations in a way students remember long after the day is over.

What Students Experience

During a visit, students will enjoy:

  • An engaging read-aloud of Jasper Meets Sparkle

  • A behind-the-scenes look at how books are written and illustrated (if age appropriate for 4-5th graders)

  • Conversation about moving to a new place, meeting new friends, and shining your light

  • An interactive Q&A where students can ask about writing, publishing, and meet Jasper George

Each visit is customized based on your school’s age groups and goals. Whether it’s a chapel setting, classroom visit, or literacy day, I’d be honored to join you.

Values & Knowledge Reinforced

The Jasper series supports character traits schools already teach every day:

  • Kindness

  • Resiliency

  • Friendship

  • Creativity

  • Confidence

  • Caring for others

These themes are presented in an encouraging and age-appropriate way that works beautifully in school settings. Additionally, in the back of each Jasper book is a field guide with animals and plants to discover in the Smoky Mountains. A resource page will be made available to teachers for coloring and exploration of these regional animals and plants.

Booking Information

I would love to come meet your students and share Jasper with them. If school policy allows and schedules align, Jasper may be able to attend select visits. He is friendly, well-trained, and fully vaccinated. This can be discussed when booking. To check availability, pricing, or to design a visit that fits your school’s schedule, please reach out through the contact page. I’m happy to customize the experience based on group size, timing, and your goals for the visit. Spots fill quickly each semester, so early booking is encouraged!

Public School Note

This presentation is designed to be appropriate for public school settings. The visit focuses on storytelling, creativity, kindness, and character development and does not include religious instruction.
